WHY I WRITE tells the inspiring tale of twin brothers Al Mills and Nnamdi Chukwuocha, celebrated slam poets from the rough inner city neighborhood of Riverside in Wilmington, Delaware. Choosing altruism over fame, the brothers dedicate their lives to serving the at-risk children of their impoverished community, using a masterful blend of words and wisdom, coupled with community action, to try to free the city's youth from the violence and hopelessness that surround them.
